TIP: Did you know that if your a service member in the military you don't get offered the company (branch) match. Ok some of you ask why do i care, and some of you may ask what is matching. Ok basically some 401k plans offer matching up to 5%, so lets say you put 5,000 into your TSP for the year, the company would match your 5,000....you see where i'm getting at...thats 10k in your TSP for that year. But did you know that cilivan employed government workers get matching. Well just some FYI for ya. Check with your HR to see do you qualify for matching.
