Please spend money...  Reply with quote

Sometimes we just get all caught up in trying to accumulate more and more money. While this is generally good and we get the satisfaction of seeing our bank account grow, we really don't want to over-do it to the point of becoming a miser.

I think the value of money lies in the things or lifestyle it can give us. I don't love money, but I love the things that I can buy with money. Money in itself is useless if we don't spend it. Of course we've got to spend our money wisely.

Life is really short..go out there and buy something you like Smile

Personally I've just spent more money than I intended to, so I'm back on the accumulation plan.

Actually, I very rarely buy anything, only little things like sheet music (singles), I think accumulating as much as possible when you don't need it will be a huge life saver when you do need it.

Not all countries can afford... a lavish monarchy.

Yup totally agreed! it's good to have the discipline to save as you never know when the rainy day is going to come..

As long as you're comfortable living the lifestyle you have now, i think you're doing great! What i was referring to in my article is some people who deny themselves any little luxuries and enjoyment of life just to accumulate money for the sake of accumulation. This i find is really a bad way to live.

My problem is that rainy day may come after I'm dead and gone, so I'm spending what I can now before I can't anymore.

Trying to single-handedly rescue the economy is a Don Quixote quest. Spend what you need to, spend what you want to, but don't spend any more than you would in normal times.

This is no right and wrong while saving and spending money. Both have to go parallel so as to maintain the balance between shaving and spending. Never knows when you will needed the money. If you got enough balance you can overcome many difficulties in our life.
