That is how we got into a credit crisis. People who couldn't afford their mortgages got them anyways. If you can't afford to buy a house, then the only other option is to stay in the apartment and try to save for a down payment on a home.

With all the foreclosures (especially here in Michigan) it is incredibly easy to find a cheap house nowadays though. There are several houses around me whose payment, taxes, and insurance would be less than apartment rent. I plan on buying this summer and I have a couple people lined up to live there with me and pay rent. With the income from them, I will be able to make the payments, and cover utilities and save any extra I have in case one of them leaves or something else arises.

My suggestion to this is if you have enough for a 20% down payment and are debt free then now is a great time to buy. If not, move to a cheaper apartment, get out of debt, save for a down payment. You will be glad you did this.

If they have enough money to buy a house good for the both of them maybe it is the right time to move or else they will be in big debt.

For many, renting a house is a better option than buying.

Firstly, renting is far less risky than buying a house. Not only do you protect yourself from negative equity should the housing market take a downward turn but you have the security of knowing your outgoings are fixed. Rental charges do not tend to vary as often or as sharply as mortgage payments linked to variable interest rates.

No, it is not worth to renting a house. It is a good news that your sister and her husband is renting an apartment. You say that this apartment cost is high, but it is depend on apartment area and location. There are so many apartments are available of low renting. But they have not available in good location and good facility.

Check to see what the rental agreement or lease agreement says about who is responsible for the repairs. usually it is the landlord . If the landlord is responsible. Then open an escrow account to put the rent money in it, send the landlord a registered letter stating the needed repairs and state that when the repairs are finished that you will release the rent funds. good luck

If you'll just be living in the house a few years or the fee is low, then renting can be a sensible option. In most cases, it's better to own a home rather than to rent as you get to pay money towards owning your own property. A home loan, however, is a long-term and substantial amount of debt so it's important that you take your job stability and financial status into account.

Yes, this can be the better option according to me as, it is always better to go for renting until and unless you have enough money to buy or own a good house for you.
