Beave, the error you make in your analysis is that gasoline and crude oil are two separate markets. There isn't a 100% correlation between the two. Each market depends on factors unique to that market. In addition, the variances you show on your chart aren't statistically significant enough to draw conclusions even if your hypothesis was correct.
