Franklin Sander's Ten Commandments For Buying Gold  Reply with quote

Called "the most dangerous man in the mid-South" by an attorney for the US Government while prosecuting him for creating a bank that exchanged gold money for paper money without collecting tax, Franklin Sanders is someone of great experience and knowledge who deeply understands all the issues with buying gold and silver. Here are his "golden" rules for doing so...

I. Always take delivery

II. Never buy premium if you can avoid it.

III. Buy bullion for business, numismatics for fun.

IV. Buy silver first, then gold.

V. Buy small gold first, then large.

VI. Never buy exotic coins or modern rarities or anything you don't understand.

VII. Know your dealer.

VIII. What governments can't find, they can't steal.

IX. Never swap bullion coins for U.S. $20 gold pieces.

X. Never break the law.

That was before the new ETF right?

If I were to buy Gold I think I would use the ETF.

I don't really like it becaue it does not creat anything of value.

But to each his/her own.

Stocks I've invested in individually. Corrning lost about 3K but I could have made money if I had been more diciplined. Should have sold it for a profit when it went down on high volume. I waited for it to rebound and it did not rebound until it went way way way lower.

Dorchester made quite a bit with this one. Bought at 13, 15 and sold at $20. I was going to buy it back at $18 and resell it at $20. But it never went below $18.18. Last I checked it was at $23 a share!!!!

Allied Capital, American Strategies, and WD40. Made money with each and everyon one of these.

I don't know everything. I believe that learning is best defined as a relatively permant change in behavior.

I am here to both teach and learn.
