Buying new house can be better if such situations happens in some other life. As I am very late replying to this thread and I think he better got the solution now!!

It's mostly because the regular house comes with land,and because regular houses can be improved/modernized.In positive areas where property values have sky rocketed,it's not unusual for folks to buy a house and proceed to bulldoze the house and build a new one.

Going for buying regular house is worth looking and at the same time required and no doubt, I feel it much better instead of going for mobile homes.

It is better to go for buying regular houses as, we dont need to spend much. We get all the things already build up.

If there are certain issues then it is better to look for other homes so that, it will be beneficial to own your property and getting resolved with all the problems.
