In these challenging economic times I feel a little guilty when I spend on trivial items. I’m currently saving more than ten per cent of my salary and I have never been careless with my money. Is it financially unwise to buy something just because I want it?”

You make your own decisions, but I can't think of a better reason at my point in life. I'm sure I will enjoy it much more than my kids will after I'm dead.

Once in a while will be okay, I think. But spending on something you don't really need on a regular basis - that's unwise.

I have everything I need, so what else will I spend on except things I don't need? It may be unwise for you, but I only have a limited number of year left that I will have any opportunity to spend, so why should I curtail my enjoyment because some unknown source says it's "Unwise"?

If you have everything you need and plenty left over than in my view it would be wise and godly to give to charities and give to your church if that is what you believe.

You are welcome to your view, but it doesn't have any value to me. I think I can make my own decisions about what part I donate.

I believe every person will need to find this special balance in his/her life, between financial optimization and fun. Personally, I spend some money on things I don't really need, provided it betters the quality of my life in one way or the other. And as a result I save a bit less, but that's okay.

Hello!!!
Its very true that value of money brings wealth and prosperity on the same ways if ypu will manage you wealth properly then only you can manage your life and leads it to hapiness.
Management of wealth is the part of life where one nees to be very careful and atentive.
Thanks

I believe that if you really do take care of your money, and you have a good economic situation...then you are allotted a few "unwise" spending decisions. Just don't make yourself go broke by making exceptions everyday to your regular spending habits.
