How to get out of this house...  Reply with quote

Okay here is the deal bought the house in 99. Have invested alot of money making it a nice home took out home equity to add siding, remodel etc.. In 06 the house next door went into foreclosure. An ex-con meth maker bought the house. He has destroyed our neighborhood. Our appraisel the month before he moved in was 69 grand, which in the area of the country I live that is a nice home. Long story short he has trashed the place, his pitbulls attacked my daughter, he refused to give me his insurance info, i have had to hire an attorney. The medical bills have ruined our once perfect credit. Because of that our credit card rate went thru the roof so that we can no longer pay it. We have security cams everywhere and have to call the police at least twice a week. He is mad at us because his dogs were taken away after the attack. I called a realtor and of course they are all telling us there is no way we can get any where close to what we owe out of the house. I live in a small town and everyone knows about the trash bag next door. Our business has went to nothing since the economy tanked. We want to get out of this house. We have to get out of this house. But of course we cant sell and get enough. We can't get a loan now because of the medical bills. I even thought of buyign a very cheap house and tryign to fix it up. But there is nothing cheap right now. So I have stooped to what they call internet panhandling. Out of sheer desperation. I made a site: [edit] trying to sell ad space like the kid who raised a million dollars for college. I am even trying selling out my family for Christmas on ebay. Anybody with any ideas please give some advice.

If your business is still vital you can try by gaining customers/clients by doing networking or by going into other communities which are nearby to you and offer your services to them. There are a variety of ways to make money over the internet either by social networking or writing articles maybe you need to look into these options.

Re your credit card/medical bills I would suggest to you to consolidate these debts so that you will have one interest rate talk with your respective companies and see if this can be available to you.

Sorry to hear about all the misfortune, but it can get better. Since your post states that you want to get out of this house, may I suggest a shortsale. It will affect your credit for a while but who cares. Right now you need to deal with debt. I would not buy any other house for a while until you find other means of income. You stated your business is slow, does that mean it hasnt been making money. If that is the case then I would sell it and find another job that can start the process of getting out of debt. Concentrate on getting out of debt, rent an apartment until you have finished this and then maybe 3 years down the road you can get back into a house.

That's a sad story indeed. Talk to an attorney immediately. I hope you find mental peace again. Thanks. Nick Brian.
