Just stumbled on The Proposition and was, thoroughly, impressed. Discovered that the script was written by Nick Cave, whose music I like very much, so that must be why I enjoyed the movie.
Gritty western set in Colonial Australia. Story about a band of outlaw brothers in the outback. When the middle and younger brothers are caught, the Captain in charge, gives the middle brother an ultimatum: Find and kill the oldest, and ringleader, or we execute the young one. Kill the oldest, and the two are pardoned.
The film was difficult to watch, and sometimes moved slowly. But the amazing cinematography and acting made it worth while. Really, it is more than just a gory, gritty "western". It poses a moral dilemma that blurs the lines between good and evil. As always, Emily Watson is a pleasure to watch.

The best movie I've ever seen is the Harry Potter series. I love how it talks about adventure and friendship. It's the best.
