Auto Loan question  Reply with quote

I've been working for 12 weeks today at my job but the bank requires 3 months employment for a loan and I get paid biweekly so I don't get my next paycheck until my 13th week. Will the bank accept that even though I don't get my paycheck until my 13th week that I've already worked 12 weeks?

P.S. Don't ask why I can't just wait another week. It's a long story and I am really running out of time in needing a car.

Thanks

And a thought: decisions made in haste and without forethought are almost always decisions you later decide you could have made a better choice. A week really isn't a very long time.

Can you afford to rent a car for a while? If you rent from one of those local outfits that rents old beaters it's a lot less than renting from a national chain.

Can't afford to rent a car. I just started to work 3rd shift at my job and I'm walking to work in a sketchy area. Someone I know was held up at gun point at around the time I go to work and I've heard gun shots so I'm not comfortable with walking to work. I've been doing rides from work because of it but I'm not comfortable doing that since I feel like it's mooching which is why a week is getting too long.

You might try calling a few car dealers and talking to the salespeople, to see if someone can point you in the right direction. Many dealers have finance companies who will finance almost anything/anybody. You can fudge your work history a bit, babysitting or house cleaning; or otherwise.

Yes, auto loans can be taken in both forms secured as well as unsecured.
