I really don't like the Rich Dad series to be honest.

Some general business books that I really enjoy are:

- 4 Hour Workweek
- Get Rich Click
- How to Make Friend and Influence People
- The Intelligent Investment Advisor

I would strongly suggest that this thread should also include motivational books. I think business books and motivational books as well as ethics book should always go together. One gets a hold of only one, book without knowing the others might just end up with him as a monster, or he will end up useless.

Believe it or not, I would rather say that you start off by getting a copy of the TOP 1000 Corporations in the country. Then, from there, you can read the profile. If you have already done so, then you are more experienced to tackle life's battles in the realm of business.

I would recommend

The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime.

It is even better than the two dads book...

I would add to the list "Getting Things Done" by David Allen. In it he offers a practical system for organizing all of the various actions on your “to-do” list and how to handle all the bits of information that need attention. He also covers how to effectively capture your thoughts, set up your workspace to maximize productivity, create an effective filing system, and how to monitor your progress.
Another book I'd recommend is "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey. It is not specifically a business read, but it is an essential handbook for successfully dealing with yourself and other people.

And just in case you have not had this recommendation before there is a great business book out there which is very easy to read and gives you a really good idea of how to take a business from an idea that starts on the kitchen table to a nationwide turnkey operation.

That book is: "The E Myth" by Michael Gerber

PS: E does not stand for an Electronic it actually stands for Entrepreneur! Smile

For everyone looking to make money on the stock market - I would highly recommend starting with the basics and the classics, such as Graham's "Security Analysis".

books  Reply with quote

i read lot of books on business. i also read the book rich dad, poor dad. i did't see these inspirational books never helped me. i stopped them reading to get motivation. last year i read a books of "osho". They are related how to relax from stress and keep mind peaceful which helped me very much.
People should learn how to keep their mind stress free because if you are relaxed then you do more development in work. Meditation helped much, osho books helped me to better than any other motivation books.
