I was able to read an article somewhere a few months ago. It is quite interesting. I can not really remember everything, but at the least, I remember one simple nature of it. It is something like you should never go shopping on an empty stomach. It saves you from the temptation of spending for food while shopping. A lot more like having the price list of the products from competing stores.

I will choose some discount things.
Shop at Walmart and big super market, you always can get discount and cheap things.

I try to buy as much bulk freezable or long storage stuff as possible, like chips, Kormas, pizzas, vegetable lasagne, tinned fruit, baked beans, pasta, tinned tomatoes, vegetable soups... The reason is:
a) I then only need to buy fresh veg, bread, butter and milk and only intermittently.
b) The more stuff you get in bulk, the cheaper it is and less often you have to buy again. There are often offers such as 3 for 1 etc.
Then use coupons on top of that.
Not all countries can afford... a lavish monarchy.

The best thing is to not to go for shopping except it is emergency to avoid temptation.Also Don't go shopping when you feel hungery or angery. For you are easy to spend impulsly at this time, don't make such a costly mistake.

Shopping after meals to avoid temptations on food. Then, saving discount coupons, Knowing the schedule of Sales Events, and of course, computing the selling price by the units, and comparing them with other brands. These are some of the things that will help.

I only buy the basic items & foods now a day. Buy luxury item only when there is SALES going on. By doing that, it save me some $$.
