Various anti virus like Avast, Quick Heal, Kaspersky,AVG and many more available in the market. The software which provide the features like get started effectiveness, ease of installation, provide protection, security and support is the best one. According to me Quick Heal is the best one.

If you're looking for a free anti-virus then Avast is the way to go. Avast couples good all-around malware detection with a speedy, well-designed package. It's also easy to install, and minimal impact on system performance. If it's for a paid anti-virus, I would go with Kapersky. It's easy to install and use, with a good interface and some attractive extra features.

Avast versus AVG; Avast has slightly better user rating and is 1/3 the size
(majorgeeks). Yet, AVG has 7 times the number of downloads.

Avast has been around, and is quite good. I just find it sometimes annoying that with its presence, sometimes some of my browsers do not open well. Otherwise, it is fine.

I reformat monthly, and so I don't need antivirus. I just keep it around for repair jobs. What I'd really like to have is a good firewall: One gives me option for every single in/out transaction (updates and loggers). Just that I'd like to know what's going on (like the old days).

Restore from backup takes half hour. Every item takes 1.5 hrs, as I keep everything is on a second hard drive Wink What's the time savings with the new solid state drives (vs scsi sata)?

I've had the same problems with viral partitions and/or the "master boot record". Use Win Command Prompt for the extra tools.

I did some SSD (drive) googling, and they're claiming one tenth of a millisecond versus ten milliseconds for reads; and writes at least 10X faster. People are claiming to install Win7 in under 10 minutes, including reformatting and reboots; which probably is 10X faster (for really meaty tasks). Not really what I had assumed...

I have been suggested a software called superantispyware. I don't know if you have heard of it?

The 10 minute install has me wondering if it was from CD to SSD or from Flash Drive to SSD. Just a gut feeling... that there was a CD involved.

Virus is just simply annoying. I still cannot figure out why some people would have to make a virus just to destroy other computers.
