After getting your domain and hosting, next its time to setup the autoblog itself. This is where Wordpress comes in. Wordpress is so commonly known for blogs that hosting companies like Hostgator even have an automated Wordpress install on the control panel of the hosting account. But, another way to get Wordpress is to go to Wordpress.org and install the script. The process is fairly simple since it involves following easy to follow instructions that are given in plain English. There are plugins in there as well, and these extra plugins could enhance the blog and help search engines find the blog a lot faster.

I'm confused about Word Press. I have a FREE blog on the site, so why would I have to get a host or pay to use it?

Since Wordpress owns your blog, they can decide to close it if they determine you are using it for profit. If you just want a place to express your opinions, it works fine for that. I have one I use for Plinky.com just for grins.

Wordpress.org is way better for a lot of reasons. Some of them include:
You own your blog . with wordpress.com or others you do not and your blog can be shut down at any time, I know as this has happened to me and several others I know
You cannot install plugins on it like you can with wordpress.org
Wordpress.org is viewed as being more professional

Wordpress.com is good to start getting used to Wordpress, but if you want to take blogging or online profiting seriously you will want to get your own blog with wordpress.org. Generally, you want to have a domain that doesn't include "wordpress" because it looks less professional and visitors are less likely to see you as an authority.

I tried to create an account in WordPress before, but it seems that I am having a hard time to do so. There are some errors occurring which made me think, is WordPress really reliable and easy to use?

Nice Post.WordPress is one of the best open source Content Management System. The PHP and HTML code in themes can also be edited for more advanced customizations. WordPress also features integrated link management; a search engine-friendly, clean permalink structure; the ability to assign nested, multiple categories to articles; and support for tagging of posts and articles.

All mentioned are correct. I have been using wordpress.com for my free online page. It is user friendly, with a little twist. and not only that they are a matter of just filling out fields, it is just simple and usable.

This is a good question.
Imho, Wordpress is like so many things in our culture, waaaaay over designed.
I'm a programmer, with 15 years of experience online, and I've coded my own CMS from scratch.
And I couldn't get Wordpress to work right either.
So I have a lot of sympathy for all the less experienced people who are struggling with it.

Wordpress.com is where you can create a free blog. Wordpress.org contains the info and tutorials needed for anyone using it on a paid domain. You have a lot more bells and whistles with that.
Also, using a paid webhost looks more professional, and you can upload any WP theme you like then. And use Google adsense, etc.
I love WP in general, but I really like the amenities that come with having it on a server for which I pay. (which isn't very much, BTW)

Wordpress is great for people who don't have the design/development knowledge to build a complete site from scratch. Now, those with limited coding and programming knowledge can create a professional looking site efficiently and affordably - even for free.

I have used wrodpress in the past, and I had some issues being a newbie at first, but once I figured everything out, it really was easy and very reliable.
