I was wondering how much on average it costs to rent a small store front? I just need a general price. Is it on monthly payments or is it yearly?

Usually you lease a space, and pay monthly.
Often there is a contract for a year, just like renting an apartment.
Prices can vary wildly, from a few hundred dollars to several thousand depending on location, size and features.
Don't forget about the "build out" costs. That's where the space is remodeled for your needs.

You might check out Loopnet.Com, they're the largest online commercial real estate listing site. You can see how much it would cost to buy, or to lease.
