Is there an age you felt you truly "got it"? I think the general age for this is way too long, and really, there's not enough formal education on the subject. Debt should not be so easy to accumulate, especially if we were taught a little better about our choices.

The problem with education in the US is that mostschools don't teach personal finance in high school, thereby a lot of kids get into trouble in college because they have CC's dangled in front of their face and school loans and they have absolutely no financial sense. I mean Bank of America thinks that school loans count as income according to their applications.

When I was a student, I almost always was in need of extra cash, though I had a job. I borrowed money from friends and got loans (here loantik service helped me a lot). I thought the situation would change after the graduation, but it didn't as I had to pay my student loan off. I should say, I finally decided to fix my financial life when I became a mother. I read different sources and asked for advice on the financial forums. Now I don't have debts and can run my own business.
