Hey-hey from NY  Reply with quote

Hi everyone,

I'm a 26 year old Graphic Artist working in NY, my interest in saving & investing started a few years ago when a co-worker convinced me to sign up for the company's 401K plan (dollar for dollar matching up to 5%, not bad). In 2002, I've opened a brokerage account with $2,000, now worth over $3,000 (I guess I've jumped in at the right time--right at the bottom of the bubble). Since then, I've set an ambitious goal of having a million dollar by age 30. Hopefully, with the wealth of information and advice I'm getting here, my goal will be realized.

Cheers to you all!

LOL on the by 30.

I use to have goals that were due by 30.

Hit most at 35:)

Sometimes goals can get in the way of life but other then that they give us focus.

Thanks for the response Lottomagic, was starting to feel a bit unwelcome here ; )

You're right about setting up goals, we shouldn't go about our days wondering aimlessly, I think that's a sad waste of time. We all should have a set of goals and work diligently in meeting these goals, it's the only way to prosper and live a meaningful life.
