If you watch movies often it is worth it as they have a lot of distribution centers around the US.

My wife's sister loves it[netflix] and there is already a network marketing deal but I don't know if they are the same caliaber of selection.

We got a ton of free movies for switching our phone from Quest to MCI.

I called quest to see if they would match the lower rates and they basically told me to leave.

As soon as we switched they were calling us back with a lower rate.

So we are back with Quest for much cheaper and we have a ton of free movie coupons:)

Most Internet DVD sites have a one-month or 2-week free trial period. Just sign up for the free trial period, cancel before they start charging you, move on to another Internet DVD site, and repeat the whole thing all over again.

They make money because they assume that a certain proportion of those who subscribe for the free trial are too lazy to get out of it (vendor lock-in). All you need to do is simply have the energy to cancel the contract.

I'm considering joining the Blockbuster version of NetFlix. It's basically the same service, only you get in-store deals too.

With the end of late fees campaign I've noticed the selection of movies has gone down at Blockbuster.

But then we just watch something on TV/Cabel so it saves us money.

Still have several certificates for FREE movies:)

I used to use this service, but after the mailman for my apartment complex kept stealing my movies I gave up on it.

Netflix won't charge you for movies you didn't receive, but it looks bad if it continues to happen over and over... and it did.

There was a mail man in colorado that went to jail.

He did not delever all the mail.

Each day some of it would be tossed in his basement.

So since he did not shaft the same people each day it took years and years for it to catch up with him.

Don't remember how much time he got.

I have found NetFlix to be an excellent service. I love being able to add movies to my list whenever I think of them and knowing that eventually I will get to watch them. It sure beats that feeling of walking around the perimeter of the video store going..."Ummm...ummm....I dunno, what do you wanna see...oh, let's just get this terrible movie and get out of here."

Great service.  Reply with quote

Netflix is awesome, but Blockbuster is coming up from behind. This new no late fees thing really is sweet. I'd give that shot--they have a similar service where you can order movies online.

Quit your day job.
