Hi all!
I'm Russian newbie investor. The reason I posted this message is that I'm gonna launch new project concerning Russian banks deposit rates. The main idea is the following:
Russian bank avarage rate for deposits in russian roubles is 14-15%
Russian bank avarage rate for deposits in EUROs (Dollars) is 8-9%
If we divide the starting invest capital into equal sum in euro and roubles and invest it into bank deposits we get 11% (avarage). Moreover if we take the deposits with compund interest and chose the banks with max rats we can get even more.
Also taking into concideraion that exchange rate doesn't vary that much and government garantees 15 000 Euros in each individual deposit I can say that this instrument is worth looking at.
The only point I don't know if this could be intrested to anyone because I don't know deposit rates abroad.
Kindly ask you to post your comments if it's worth starting such project or may be anyone's intrested.

Have you considered the effects of currency exchange over time?
Russia's currency has been notably volatile in the past.
