I'm writing a personal financial program, and I think I need help finding some terms.
I'm looking for an umbrella word or two word phrase that covers accounts like checking, savings, money markets, and, if possible, CD's.
Also, what is an umbrella word or very short phrase that covers both payees and the sources of money?
Thanks for your help,
Chris

Those are usually referred to as 'cash'.

I think the term you want is the term old guy gave you. No, interest-earning accounts are not cash accounts, however, for accounting purposes all short-term liquid and ready monies whether deposit accounts or interest-earning accounts are referred to as cash. I cannot think of a better all-inclusive term that meets your criteria.

Hello !!
According to me you can get a lot of information from the internet for what you wants to write.
There you can find many more new terminologies for your work.
Thanks
