The first time I signed up I received $25, just for signing up. A friend sent me a link and he received $10.

I was very interested in ING Direct (some of you probably remember me asking about Capital One, which later became a discussion on ING), but my mother pointed out how beneficial it could be to have a "brick-and-mortar" bank instead. Of course, ING Direct has a much larger interest rate (I'd say that 2.25% is more than the 0.445% that I currently have) so ING is generally the best choice, strictly financially, which is a big reason you're using the bank anyway. I just wanted to point out, though, that a physical bank can have plusses too - in fact, my nearest branch is within walking distance (very important when you don't have a car).

I have been with ING for quite some time now and I have no complaints. They maintain a competetive interest rate as well.

I have an ING savings account and so far it is great. The APY is 2.35%, which is better than anything I have seen. It is also very convenient because they do transfers electronically between your checking and your savings account with them.
