For someone that has never had a credit card before, what credit card would you guys recommend? Bank, Commercial, etc? I like to travel a lot so I figure one with travel rewards would be good. Advice?

Just to be safe, I recommend Go Visa. Because, having it would definitely saves in other countries.

If it's business travel, I'll suggest a card with a cash rebate. You probably won't be able to use the award miles for your business travel, anyway.

Consider what makes the card best for you.Does it have a annual fee.Can the rewards/points be used differently say for hotels, airfare, car rental or other travel discounts.Where you fly most from should be a major input.Good Luck

The Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card is one of the most popular credit cards among the really frequent fliers and travelers. This is because it has probably the best hotel reward program, but also allows you to transfer points you earn into miles with their airline partners. Furthermore, you get a 5,000 airmiles bonus if you transfer 20,000 points into miles.

Hi,
what I personally feel that visa is always a best option for anyone and in terms of going for business travel as it is highly recommended by everyone and people apply for this from the very beginning.
Thanks

I like my capital one for business. I usually don't end up using the miles and just cash it out but if I used it for miles it would have been better.

One of the best credit cards on the market right now for travel rewards is the Chase Sapphire Card. It's a no annual fee credit card and you get 10,000 bonus points after your first purchase.
The best credit cards for traveling (to take on your travels vs. to accumulate travel rewards), however, are still Capital One credit cards. They are still one of the only cards who don't charge anything for foreign transactions. It is the only card I use when I'm traveling outside the US.

The CitiŽ Diamond PreferredŽ Rewards Card is great card to get for travel rewards. You can use points to book on their travel website (which is powered by Expedia). Hence, you are assured to getting good prices. There are also a few other great offers that come with this card.
Thanks
