rich dad poor dad free seminar a let down!  Reply with quote

Did anybody attend one of the free seminars put on by the rich dad poor dad people in their town? I felt robbed when I went to mine. They made it sound like the author was coming to teach us a thing or two and he didn't even come! It was some guy that works for him that basically just did a 2 hour sales pitch for their 3 day workshop they will put on later in the year "for only $495 which is half the normal price!"

Talk about false advertising! And the guy started out teaching us some things and right before getting to the good stuff he would ask us if we wanted to know the answer, then tell us to go to the back of the room and sign up for the workshop. Wow this guy made me mad!

Anyways, anybody else go to this and feel deceived?

Corgee Im sorry to hear that. I will be sure not to attend one of their seminars anytime soon. What were you hoping to gain from the seminar.

Since I retired, I go to as many of these type seminars as I can and have NEVER come away without learning something I could use. I have nowhere to go and all day to get there, so if nothing else they are usually run by professionals and end up being entertaining at least. I am a student of marketing and learn wherever I can, especially if it's free. I BET they had dozens of people swarming that back table and if you can't learn something from watching them do it, you are looking into the wrong line of endeavor (I almost said work, but who wants that?).

Have never attended one, but the book was interesting and I learned a great deal from it.

Well first off I was expecting the author Robert Kiyosaki to be the one talking since that's how they advertised the event. And when I say the speaker would teach us a little, it was more like he almost taught us stuff. He just kept saying we're dumb if we are savers and that we need to go get big loans and get into real estate.

THe first bate and switch was in Genisus I believe. Thanks for exposing their unethics. Sadily it will just help them sell more books. My wife is a fan of their rhetoric. Haven't paid much attention to it myself.

I do agree with NoBrainer that you can learn from the semenars(sp?)

Just try and focuse on the positive learning you have done from the author's work and try and forgive the organization for the bate and switch.

Perhpas if they had to give $300 to every victim this year that would teach them. Perhaps if we all sent this URL to AGs everywhere one of them would take some action?

Yea forget my forgive retoric and go for VEngance!!!
