I did a lot of research to discover that not all debt consolidation/ counseling companies are the same- there are some really bad ones, and I was fortunate enough to find a reputable one that is helping a great deal. I will tell you that I used moneyinfoline dot com to find my debt consolidation help- Whatever you do do your research!!!

Now I heard that using a debt consolidation company was just as bad credit report-wise as filing for bankruptcy. Is that true? Why?

marketexec: Lowest interest consolidation, & a free goverment grant could fix your debt.
Free credit reports are okay.
