This isnt a business offer or money-making opportunity, but it is a solicitation of sorts, so I guess that's why it's here.
I haven't been posting on the board much for quite a while. It's been enough to just do my mod duties. I've been really, really, busy. I took on a project that turned out to be a whole lot more than I ever thought it would be. But it's finished and this post is an announcement and an invitation.
Here's some background, if you don't find that sort of thing too boring: late last year I began mulling over some ideas for my own forum. My problem was that I wanted some unique interest because there must already be hundreds of boards on my other interests (besides cats, I mean.) I've been a fan (and a frequent caller) of a popular local radio talk show called The Bill Sebastian Show. I did some googling and discovered Bill had no forums covering his show. So that became my unique interest.
I got some interest and encouragement from Bill and the radio station management to go ahead with developing a forum for Bill's show. I made it easy for them to say yes. I would take the risk and do all the work and get it set up, and only ask for some free publicity when it was finished.
I had already set up a demo for them on one of the "free" forum sites, but wanted my own board on my own host. And my own custom design. I decided on phpBB3 since I was familiar with its features and operation. So I figured two, maybe three weeks to get this thing up and online. Boy, was I ever off. I knew only a little HTML and absolutely no CSS or PHP. Three weeks became three months. My winter projects went on hold. Then my spring projects. And my summer projects went the same route.
But finally it's finished. The layout seems stable. Everything is working. Now I just need to get some good people to stop by, take a look, and register. I haven't gotten my free publicity from the station yet. I think they're waiting to see if this thing is for real.
Here's the invitation. You don't have to be a WHBY listener (though I do link to their live stream so you can listen to Bill's show wherever you are.) The main themes are current events, hot topics, and talk radio. Come visit my forum and if you like what you see, sign up and do some posting.

PS - I went with your advice and joined Link Referral. I edited the graphic slightly to fit in with the decor, do you think they'd mind? I couldn't find anything in the TOS, but maybe I missed it.

So who is your Link Referal upline? I don't think I got credit.
I posted a promotional post for your forum on the 5StarTraffic Forum.
This head cold has me thinking wacked stuff like Bill isn't a cat name. Then I remember Bill the cat;)
Almost forgot that my first forum was "Life the Universe and Everything" tried to get on the cat forum today but got a data base error.
I picked up quite a few Arther Dent (did I spell it right?) books from a thrift store quite a few moons ago.
Just trying to post on 3 promotional forums today. I've already posted on 6 but I'm only counting ones I haven't posted on in a while. So by my book I"m 2 of 3.
2 down and 1 to go but my wonderfull soon is really in play mode. At least he isn't sick like me. Think he got it first. He had a couple of nights where he wasn't a happy camper.
Went to the Dr to get my wonderfull wife off my back. Dr gave me Amoxicillin. Perhaps it will also help my infection near tooth number 15.

Actually I didn't understand what it was when I registered, so nobody got credit. If I can still give it to you, I will. Let me know what you find out. I'm really not doing much over there anyway, as I have a bit of a problem with their review scoring. They don't let you give bad reviews, even if they're deserved. 
Was the the Cat Forum or the Cat Site you got the db error on? I got a db error on TCS, and it looks to me like the site got hacked.

Haven't ever tried to contact anyone at http://www.linkreferral.com/adwel.pl?oldrefid=102684 so I don't know if they are customer service oriented.
I'll let you know when I get my $50. One more paid member of a quarter ton of FREE members and I should get it.
Several of my new downline members aren't showing my link so I may have to pester someone.
Probably the forum as I did a search for Bill Sebastian forum. The easy way to give me credit would to just re-e-join with another E-mail.
I'm sick of being sick. Antibiotics always make me feal worse. Dehydrated and just seem to have to urinate more when I drink more. But perhaps I'll win the lotto 'cuz of my complaining?

Maybe it's the medications.
I don't have any intention of being a paid subscriber at Link Referral. But I'll see what I can do about your credit. Your referrer id is 102684? Not sure if I want to re-register. Wouldn't that be against the TOS? Have to check into that, too.

Backed out of joining Myspace cuz for some reason I read the TOS.
I was dumb about my upgrade. Upgraded at a time when I had good position doing reviews.
When I started reviewings I gave 3s and 4 wanting to leave 5s for things that are really great.
But then I got soft. If I don't like a website I just don't review it.
Are you in the forum section? Well they don't call it that. I think most of the forums in in the computer section.
