| Would YOU think this is a bomb? |
|
|
Yesterday Boston was shut down when authorities thought advertising signboards depicting a flashing cartoon character from a TBS cartoon show were bombs. Does this look like a bomb to you?
Now authorities are hot, blaming TBS, and threatening criminal charges and calling for compensation for the funds spent. The signboards were posted in nine other cities as well, with no problems. What do you think? Whose fault is this? Overreaction or justified?

It sounds like paranoia to me. Everyone's out to get everyone else, so there are no safe havens anymore.

I think that it was a little bit of a over reaction, but atleast you know that they were thinking and being careful. Always better safe than sorry.

The fear of terrorist attack has been trumped up so intensely into our system that everyone looks like a terrorist to us and every object that we do not recognize a bomb.

People become afraid of things they don't understand, it's a shame.
