Does anyone have any ideas on how to earn a little bit of extra cash. I am currently a very busy student at UT in austin and I dont seem to have any time to get a full time or part time job. But my mothers b-day is coming up and I was hoping to earn a little extra money to do something really nice f...

My niece is in the same boat. Remember, of course, that mothers don't necessarily need material gifts!!! But if you are determined to do something spectacular for her (which very often requires $$$), look in your paper for short-term event jobs. My niece goes to the University of Illinois Chicago and she found a job working as a door person at a software convention. It was only a weekend's worth of work, but she made a bundle. Whatever you decide, I'm sure your mother will be glad with anything, big or small!

I don't know if you still have enough time to do this, but I could run you through a quick tutorial how I set up my affiliate market. It can be done in one weekend or even one night. The problem would be getting a few sales in time, but if you have a couple of weeks, than it can be done. And ofcourse this system would not disappear after and even if you stop working it could still bring in a little cash through re-orders. PM me if you are interested.
other than that, you could always get rid of some of your old stuff in a garage sell or on ebay.

i suggest you go to freelancing sites or a better alternative would be ad campaigns if you have a website or blog like me. i have just recently signed up for Pay Per Play, it's some kind of a advertisement that lets you earn from every visitor on your site. it's not yet launched but looks so promising though. if you are willing to let an audio advertisement be played on your blogsite, it would be a great opportunity for you i believe.Ad will play when a visitor opens that webpage. In turn, the website owner will get paid for every visitor to his website. the pay was like a high 25% of the ad's worth,i think. Check on my profile for more details about it.

One idea I can give you that I have done in the past is to hand out flyers, menus or coupons for local business to the general public.
All you have to do is go to some busy businesses like pizza shops, nail/hair shop, etc. and ask the owner if they would be willing to pay you to hand out pre-printed flyers, menus or coupons to people or houses in a 5 mile radius of their business.
I was getting 5 cents for each flyer I handed out to people at the mall and I had 500 flyers, so I made $25 for less than 2 hours work, so that's $12.50 an hour, not bad money.
I would suggest letting the owner make you an offer on what they are willing to pay you as it might be more that what I was getting paid and if it's not then you can say that you will do it for x amount.
This is just one of the many things I have done to make extra money in the past.

If you are looking for opportunities to earn money just for your mother's birthday, then you might need a different strategy. Those affiliated programs might give you the returns but not before your mother's birthday(assuming that your mother's birthday is within this month). These are the strategies that I will propose..
1-Determine what kind of gift you want for your mother. From there, determine the amount of money you need to earn.
2-Sit down and write down how you intend to earn this money. I would suggest a garage sale. Different locations can provide you with different opportunities. If you can think of something better than a garage sale, please go ahead.
3-This is an important step-Plan. Your plan must include these 3 things; human traffic to your store, goods to sell and payment systems.
4-You can have more than 1 channel for garage sale. Invest a bit of time to sell them on e-bay and any other online retail. An online store operates 24hrs a day. So when you sleep, people can still buy your goods. During your day time, do the retail business. Sell those things that you do not need anymore.
5-Be honest in this business.
This is some of my suggestion for short term earnings. Good luck and wishing you the very best. Gifts bought with money from our own effort is more memorable and it will be a sweet experience. cheers..

Craigslist.org lists gigs that are typically short term jobs, like flyer distribution and helping promote a product or event. Why not edit papers for other students? A simple charge of $1 per page to check for punctuation, spelling and grammar would be a great job for a college student.

Good question,
Everyone asks the same question, how to make some extra money part time with no investment, and it can be done, but it is not as easy as some think, you do have to work.
Online income is the easiest, but it takes many hours to get a business off the ground, so with your situation of lack of time being mentioned, this is not always going to work, but online is the easiest.
I have several college kids working for me, so I know what can be made part time for I am paying a couple hundred a week to dozens who do nothing more than hand out business size cards to local businesses and people, so there are potential options for anyone who can spare enough time to post a few bulletins and pass out cards.
Most people don't like to sell, and most don't like to be sold, this is well documented, but everyone likes to save money, and earn money, and this is what you need to identify, businesse which require no investment, and no selling, but it offers true savings, and it is passive, you can do it while you are doing everything else in your schedule. As example, how many cars to you walk by in a day, how many people do you pass per day, how many stores do you shop in each day? Each one could produce $500. to $1000. by simply passing out a business type card I developed, so PM me if you want the secret, it is totally FREE, to be financially FREE.

there are lots of opportunities out there especially on the internet. If you're good at programming, graphic designing or any web development jobs, you may do freelancing. If your good at writing, you may do blogging, article writing, etc. If online jobs in not your choice, you may apply for part time jobs in fast foods, hotels or at schools. The important thing is, you love what your are doing.
