| I am so confused! |

Okay I need some advice and not to be yelled at either! So I need a loan and have poor credit thanks to an ex fiance' and now I am in horrible need of financial help. I have just recently moved to a new part of the country and have literally just started a new job yesterday ... I am seriously on the brink of trying to find a loan shark because I can not get approved anywhere is there anything else I can do or a quick way to repair my credit? Any andvice would be great! Thanks!

Congratulations on the move and the new job.
If you have a couple hundred dollar emergency, try a PayDay loan until your first pay check - true, the interest is 300% or 400% but for a couple weeks it doesn't matter - it is a way to get the utilities hooked up so that you don't freeze/starve.
Longer term, can you join a credit union at your new job? They have the advantage of being able to get paid from your paycheck - that lowers their so they can give you better rates and bigger loans.
Also, don't borrow if you can wait - for example, buy a $2000 car and drive it for a year or two - your credit scores will increase while you wait.

What's the loan for? A little more info would be helpful to figure out how to help you. How much do you need? What options have you explored?
To answer one question though, no, there's no quick-fix when it comes to credit. Credit takes years to build and days to destroy.

Yes, what is the loan for? I doubt you'll be in a position to get a loan until you've been established at your new job and residence for a few months, so you can demonstrate steadiness to creditors. Also, be very wary of wanting to jump into a loan before you even have earned a couple of paychecks. pf101 is right, it takes more than a week to rebuild credit.

| You can try prosper.com |

I am using prosper.com(as a lender), you may pay high interest rate but probably lower then paydate loans.

How much money do you need?
Do you have family members that can help? Any good friends? It's probably your best bet.
There are many Peer-2-Peer lending sites, but I am not sure how bad your credit is and if you would qualify.

Getting a loan is not always the best idea as it means that (unless you are earning a lot of money once you actually start earning) you are constantly on the back foot in terms of your finances.
Explore ALL of your options, even family - as long as you know you can pay them back when you say you will.

i think borrowing money from payday loan companies should be the last thing to do. Try friends and family, if that doesn't work, then try selling some of your unwanted items in a garage sale, cragilst, ebay, etc.
if that all doesn work then do a research and get a low fee payday loan from direct payday lender.
