Sorry if this topic is in the wrong section.
My question is: Do you get paid more in receiving a high GPA in college? I currently have a 3.0 in business...not very good, but will companies be looking at your GPA? I think they will because it shows them whether or not you worked hard during the years or slacked off. What are your inputs on this?
Thanks !
and again i'm sorry if it's in the wrong section, i didn't know where to put it.

Is 3.0 still the same as a "B" grade? That's not so bad. I can't think of any job application where they wanted to know my GPA, though the types of jobs I had out of college weren't ones where they'd be too concerned about it.

I think it depends on the industry you are going into...For example, if you want to be a lawyer and you want to go to the BEST law firm in the industry, one of the pre-requisite to be granted an interview by the normal process is results.
You could do better by getting people you know to sponser you into the company, where you would be given a chance to be interviewed for your suitability. Then it depends on how you convince them to accept you when they could recruit those with good scores.
The last interview at my company which was looking for engineers saw experience play a more important part in the selection. Either case, good results only give you a key to enter the workplace....and what determined your future is your performance and how you can help our company make money....
Sorry, can't help much.

So i guess it ultimately depends on the companies requirement list. I know that my college requires a 2.0!!! for undergrads to graduate, and that's insanely easy..I don't even have to study and i'll get above 2.0... but obtaining at least 3.0 requires a bit work, for me at least. I'm currently studying to be an Auditor/Accountant and what i did on resume is show my overall GPA and I also had my Accounting courses gpa. My gpa for Account is over well over 3.0.
Thanks for responding on question(s). Very appreciated it as usual!

It varies on the job you are applying for.
