Interesting,
I have been using adsense since start and with the internet being a moving target, what worked yesterday may not work today with regards to adsense success.
I have seen my sites constantly dropping in clicks and it is all about saturation, and that is how I see it now, just too many competing for the same revenues. What is hot today is dead tomorrow. Click amounts is way off what it was even six months ago, so as clicks deminish, so do the amounts being paid for each click.
In my experience, very few are making serious money any longer, and when you see a thousand ebooks on google adsense strategies, these are the same people who are no longer making money on the strategies they are selling, and you can take that to the bank. Who would be crazy enough to disclose their secrets if they really worked as promoted? They wouldn't, so don't waste your money purchasing them, they are all worthless, as is adsense for most these days.

i had some supplements i was advertising and i started on their minimum for the keyword i believe it was .05 per click, as soon as they found out i was getting a lot of trafiic these @ssh*les disabled the keywords with a notice "if you want to reactivate your campaign you need to increase your bid to $25c... so whats the point here they see you are suceeding they block you and ask for mone money ,i though i had a breath of fresh air ,i thought well finally im gonna make some money, and these guys from google disable my KW because they decided i was getting too much traffic for too little money ...i had to close the campaign because it wasnt profitable at .25

Update:
Since so few are evidently making money with Google Adsense, myself included, and revenues are dropping monthly, even though hits are increasing, is anyone making decent money with Google?
See the direction of Adsense, down, I am always open to new technologies, and I like what I have read about Click Per Play to date.
