What if taxes had been limited to 10%  Reply with quote

Did I read it here? Did a search on "Limitation" and saw a bunch of spamar slamar stuff.

Anyway, somewhere perhaps the history channel I heard or read that the USA congress almost limited taxes at 10%; but, voted it down because at the time they were afraid taxes would hit 10% if they passed the bill.

If they had limited taxes to 10% it probably wouldn't have lasted anyway.

But what if they did and it stuck. Would we have a lower defficit?

Would we have been less likely to get involved with forign entanglements like Viet Nam and Iraq?

Yesterday's newspaper quoted Bloomburg in saying that Iraq adjusted for inflation is more expensive now then Viet Nam was.
