I believe he is dead. Not by the hands of our troops, but by the hands of nature. He's supposedly had kidney or liver failure of some sort. But I'm sure someone is going to provide me with a link that proves me wrong, but I'll counter it with a link that proves me right.
What I'm trying to conclude is we won't really know until we get it. I remember reading from time to time that he died in December of 2001. I remember reading that Pakistan had caught him. I remember reading that Chinese troops had killed him. I remember reading a lot of things about him.
But with 6 billion people in the world, trying to get the correct and accurate information is hard. It seems to me that it comes down not to the truth, but to the amount of believe you put into the answer.
I do believe he is dead. I do believe he is gone. Obviously as you guys can tell, I have an open mind. I find myself skimming through ultra left and right websites and just taking in information. Generally it's the incorrect information, but eh...

Can you really trust the person that is confirming it?
I can go into a huge list of details and I'm sure you could counter them and we'd go back and forth, wasting our time.
Bottom Line: We don't know where he is. Some people in the world, but us, at this forum, do not.
But I believe he is dead.

Belief is faith in something you can't prove. And we're not priveleged to the facts, so it can't be proved one way or the other.
But I do find it kind of curious that you say you "have an open mind" but you seem to have your mind made up (nothing wrong with that) but yet don't seem to want to entertain different opinions (not a characteristic of an open mind.)
Open mind as to all the "information" I've taken in. In this day and age, not all information is true. It's easy to doubt everything. With communication such as we have today, so many things come in at once that verifying what is true and what is bs is harder then ever.
So taking all the "information" and linking it together, I come to my conclusion.

IS THERE a charismatic, romantic Robin Hood figure living it up in the middle east, thumbing his nose at US authority, assembling a a growing troop of "merry men" fanatically devoted to his command?
Hm. Wouldn't that be really stupid and careless if you thought he was dead... but he really wasn't? It'd pretty much invalidate all your thinking on the topic.
It's a pretty seminal point: ARE we the Keystone Cops? Or aren't we?

You could be right...and you could be wrong.
Osama bin Laden is only one person but his influence over the people fighting for his cause is so huge. What we see in Iraq and Afghanistan is a clear indication that his influence is even growing - regardless of whether he is alive or dead. You are not fighting only one person but rather you are fighting his ideology and his cause.
You can not become free by accepting to be occupied

cmon guys,
you gota be kidding he is alive and
will be as long as he is the "poster boy" of
gwb's "war on terror" [war for oil] b.s.
they've had him in their cross hairs but
he just seems to get away at the last
second,why?
he is worth more alive than dead to gwb
they have had him heaps and keep leaving
the back door open for an easy escape
lets hope liver/kidney failure gets him
then gwb will need a new "poster boy"
for their "war on terror"[war for oil]b.s.
and for the enraged, check the "peak oil"
web sites and read it for yourselves.
dont be stooged any longer
many thanks,
jim.

I strongly believe he is alive, if he wasn't then we would jump all over the opportunity to spin it.
Military experts are on record as saying they know with a fair amount of accuracy where he is. It is just not a viable option to go get him, they say he is in the area where Pakistan has no control, where the tribal groups run things.
And those tribal groups love Osama, if we went after him Pakistan would likely face a civil war which would be terrible for both the U.S and our ally Pakistan.

"military experts" |

to teenInvestor,
the "military experts" you refer to are puppets
of gwb and his cronies
those guys just do and say what they are told
like all good soldiers do.
[no disrespect to the "grunts" on the ground]
if they really wanted him do you honestly
believe they would give a flying f about pakistan?
the CIA trained, armed and funded him for years while he and
his crew fought the russians on the afgany border.
if they wanted him they would of had him long ago.
dont be a stooge for polititions
and reject their bs propaganda
power corrupts,absolute power corrupts absolutely
many thanks,
jim.

The experts I spoke of were not currently employed by the government. In fact a majority of them were very critical of the government, citing several instances where they missed an opportunity to capture Osama due to ineptitude on the part of their superiors.
The U.S did support Osama, but we no longer do nor have we for a long time. I think it is a stretch to say we are on first name basis with him, but are not doing so.
There is no political reason to protect him, in fact it would give a HUGE boost to the administration.

He may be in custodcy and his sons Uday & Qusay have been eliminated, but a lot of the lesser-known Hussein family members are coming to the attention of American authorities.

Huray.................the sports fanatic
Sashay................the gay brother
Kuntay & Kintay.......the twins from the African mother
Sayhay................the baseball player
Ojay..................the stalker/murderer
Gulay.................the singer/entertainer
Ebay..................the internet czar
Biliray...............the country music star
Ecksray...............the radiologist
Puray.................the blender factory owner
Regay.................the half-Jamaican brother
Tupay.................the one with bad hair
Among the sisters:
Lattay.................the coffee shop owner
Bufay..................the 300 pound sister
Dushay.................the clean sister
Phayray................the zoo worker in the gorilla house Sapheway...............the grocery store owner
Ollay..................the half-Mexican sister
Gudlay.................the prostitute
And Finally:
There is Oyvay..... but the family doesn't like to talk about him much.

Wow. What a list to Osama family. I know you can find this out over the net. But you must have connections. lmao
As far as Osama he still is alive. He proabably was in the same whole as Hussein right under his feet.
