| Yet another PayPal scam |
|
|
I received an email pretending to be from PayPal saying my account access was being limited due to irregular activity and to "click on this link to verify account."
Ha ha --- ya right!!
So just to let you all know this is going around: the return email address is "service@intl.paypal.com" and if you hover your pointer over the links you'll see it's a "surfision.com.sg" domain ... not PayPal at all.
Do not click on the links!!
Oh, and BTW, it arrived at the email address shown in my signature line on some other boards, so it was probably harvested by a bot crawling message boards.

Phishing is way way up, always be careful.
If you get an unexpected email from a bank or other financial company you use, avoid clicking the links in the email, just visit it directly to check the situation out.

I have received this e-mail before too. No financial institution will ask you to share personal banking information in an e-mail ever.

A new one I've received at two email addresses within the last couple of days is titled: "Notice of new security measures."
