Add Shopping Cart to your site with PayPal  Reply with quote

Most people already know that it is easy to add a PayPal payment button to their retail website, but did you know that PayPal also provides easy to use tools to add a basic shopping cart system to your site as well?

quote:

PayPal:

When you use PayPal's free Shopping Cart on your website, your customers can purchase multiple items with a single payment, browse your entire selection, and view a consolidated list of all their items before purchasing

Two different types of buttons, a configurable "Add to Cart" button and the "View Shopping Cart" button, are all that are needed to complete a functional cart system. PayPal provides a "button factory" tool to assist merchants in creating the various "Add to Cart" buttons that might be needed. Raw HTML form code is also provided for more experienced webmasters. Many options are available to allow customization of the cart system to your particular needed, for example a text could be associated with a particular "Add to Cart" button to allow the customer to specify additional information like an account to credit or a size or color.

I find paypal is a great way to get a business going on the web.

It is expensive though, about 6-7% of transaction values.

But you can be up and live within a few hours, with very few questions asked!

Yep, I currently even use these features here at Money Talk to provide our Banner Exchange members with a means to purchase additional banner exposures.
