I am a business owner for 17 years and an art instructor of wearable art. My customers are worldwide and the concept that I came up with deals in networking with other artist. If you are familiar with the art show circuit you l know that costs pertaining to travel & booth fee eat up most of your profits fast. The idea that came to mind is creating a network of artist with similar mediums. Each artist would rent a booth of similar costs at their local art & craft show and distribute an even satuation of booth space with 5 or 6 other artist. This would have to entail finding an honest group first & foremost, then working out the pay system next. Once you establish your presense at these shows you can expand you business by renting another space and asking more members to participate. This way each member of this network can be in 5 to 10 shows in one weekend and expand their market saturation without incurring travel & booth costs.
This will take some time to set up but the profits made would make up for the trouble.

Sounds like your talking about an art co-op.
Farmers have started som co-ops. And actually a co-op may go beyond what you were planning. In a co-op deal if the comapny providing the food were a co-op any left over money would go back to the customer. I got twenty-three cents back from a co-op once. Hadn't actually joined but they had tracked some of my purchaces from the credit card. And I don't recall what my earnings would have become if I had joined. Higher earnings but then you got to earn back your fee for joining.
