Motivation?  Reply with quote

OK, so it's been a rough week and I need some motivation.

Why do you continue to work/earn money (actively vs. passively)?

How do you keep yourself on track?

I'm tempted to chuck it all and go live on a beach in Tahiti somewhere... Rolling Eyes

Keep your eyes on the prize: appreciate your goal and always progress toward it. A lack of progress is certainly demotivating; ensure that does not happen.

Now I have proof I am not the only one who thinks like that!

After spending a summer in Florence, Italy, I know what your thinking. No matter how much I like my job, I will always want to just drop everything and go live there. Too bad I just started my first job out of college and have no money saved up yet.

Anyways I work everyday for that goal more less. I tell myself that when I am at work that I can't do anything else, so there is no reason why I should not give 100% of myself while I am there. The day will eventually come when I have the ability to put all the hustle behind me, but that isnt for a long time yet...

My motivation simply come from my commitment to my parents, family and MYSELF! Every day I wake up, my mind will start thinking how I can make money so that I can be financial free and wealthy. At night, before I fall asleep (totally sleep), I will try to imagine the life after I achieve my goal, then I will be excited and the passion on my job is growing.

Passion + Goal = ACTION, where action is the most important factor to determine you will success or not. Smile

Your motivation is that you like to eat regularly, you want to live a comfortable life, and you want to be a contribution member of society rather than a taker.

If you are very unhappy frequently with your work; consider if changing what you do might be in order. Work does not have to be unpleasant.

Good luck

Hi Cheque2Cheque,

How are you now? I hope you are doing well.

Most people go to work because they have to, not because they GET TO.

If you need motivation you can read some motivational books regularly.

Personally I am a big fan of the bible.
