Bush's Steel Dilemma  Reply with quote

Last year Bush imposed a tariff on foreign steel imports in order to protect American steel makers and tens of thousands of associated jobs. But with the pressure of the WTO crying foul on one hand, and the continued threat to American jobs on the other hand, will Bush make the tough decision to reverse the tariffs and stay in-line with the administration's mantra of "Free Trade" or risk the wrath and vote of out-of-work steel workers and the associated hit to the economy?

it's really just a question of "fair trade" these overseas steel companies are receiving huge government backing to make them cheaper than U.S steel...

and that's not fair...

the japanese dude's popularity is plundering and he is under considerable pressure to pull back from earlier "iraq" comitments over public sentiment and the steel deal Smile

very interesting how money / politics / economics intertwine a world away...

Yeah, I don't understand why the WTO isn't (or doesn't seem to be) causing grief for these other countries that are dumping cheap steel into the American market?

Steel or Steal?  Reply with quote

I clicked to the link for that article for a disapointment. I only read the first few lines and that was enough.

Loyalty  Reply with quote

Where is Bush Loyalty? Does bush serve the public or the Financial powers? Maybe he is just in an imposible situation.???

It is interesting to note that Bush private jet is the one Barry Seal used for CIA drug smuggling for some time. It is also interesting that Bush Sr was over the CIA when all the smuggling was taking place in the 80's.
Bush Senior also met at the regular secret meetings of those who promote the One World Order. I have nothing against the Bush Family I am just curious because the facts put him on fertile ground. I am glad he supports our troops bnut lets not forget his family connections do profit from war.

Personally I am glad Clinton is out. I am just begining to think that most of the Debates are just a show to help divide the people more. -frcisafraud
