Hey, that's great. Mainly you will want to provide your visitors with a way to browse your collection, and also view large images. A shopping cart system would be one way to do this, as well as covering the details of purchasing your works, like tax, shipping, etc. You will probably also want to visibly watermark your images, with your logo impressed faintly across the images. This prevents people from easily swiping your work for unauthorized use on their website, for example.
Let us know when you've got something to show!

thanks for the reply Andrew but, I guess I didn't make clear what I was asking.
I was wondering about tax/business laws? I'm living in Kentucky if thats any help, and I'm not asking for someone to explain it all to me, just kinda point me in the right direction and I'll do the research/reading, then if I run into something that isn't to clear to me I'll come back and ask about it.
As for the web site, I already have to layout planed, one of my ways of making income is as a webmaster and I've done websites for photographers in the past, so I dont really need to know about that, but thanks anyway, and if someone else is looking to start up a site, all the things andrew posted above are good tips.
so if anyone has some good sites to go to about tax/business laws for the state of kentucky please post, and I'll be doing some research myself.
below are two of my favorite pictures that I've taken.
this one is titled Grandfather

and this one is titled What Fall is All About.

remember that the quality of the pictures had to be lowered some to speed up the viewing, for my website they'll be even smaller. So does anyone feel I should spend my time getting this started and trying to sale them, or do you think they're not good enough? please let me know

Those links didn't work. I don''t think Geocities allows links to image files.
Put them in a simple web page and give us that link..

Thanks for the page link. The pictures look real nice.
And you've got your watermark, good goin'.
On the taxes, you'll be able to sell to buyers in other states tax-free, but if you sell to buyers that live in KY, you would probably be expected to collect sales tax from them and report that to the state, along with the tax money. You may need to get a Tax Id. You'll want to go to the official website for the state and see what you can find regarding the rules.
