ETF Question  Reply with quote

Do you guys know of a ETF or index fund that's comprised of the top 10 (or 20) stocks in the SP500, in terms of percentage of SP500 holdings? I'm curious how that would fair against the full SP500 index. Thoughts?

I guess alternatively, one could simply invest in the top 10 (or 20) stocks individually, but the question remains - any idea how this strategy would fare against the index as a whole?

Thanks!

Thank you. Do you know if an analysis has been done to show how those top stocks have fared over the past vs the market as a whole.

Well, after doing a little math. It looks like they average rate of return of the SP500's top 10 stocks are up ~12%/yr whereas the SP500 as a whole is up ~9%/yr. I just wish there was an ETF that covered those top 10 companies so it'd be even easier.
