| Phone crisis! |

Our phone company just informed us that due to delinquent charges, we are having our service disconnected for a minimum of 30 days or until the bill is paid in full. !!! We owe upwards of $1000!!! Apparently, we can get the service working again in 30 days and begin paying the debt off in increments over the next year, but in the meantime, how is my small, start-up business expected to survive with NO PHONE??? We have computer access, but without the phone and fax, I’m worried we’re headed for a downward spiral. Any help out there? I think I need a miracle!

VOIP - check with Vonage.
But if you're running up a thousand bucks in deliquent charges without knowing it, then you've already BEEN in the downward spiral and are just now getting the memo.
Here's your miracle: resolve.

A little harsh, but agreed, Euler! However, most businesses start out in the red a bit, especially in the first few years, so I think there's still hope. I use OneSuite because I travel a lot and need to check messages and faxes while away from the office. They have a service called MessageOne that allows you to receive both through an email address. And then you can use the calling card for important calls you can't do without. You only need to maintain a $10 balance so that might help you cut costs as well. Good luck!
