Re: 28 steps...

Wouldn't it be difficult to have a bank account with hundreds of thousands and also to make big t online auctionransactions without attracting the IRS? He never mentions taxes (maybe they don't pay taxes in England).
Also, in a different book, Goldsmith admits that after finding a couple of dollars(pounds) on the street he added "outside" money to help it along.
I walk a lot in my city and have found almost $30.00 on the ground. I have doubled it in two years using his system, but I am not overly ambitious with it, just do it for fun.
I have just started on Stuart Goldsmith's idea, but make it easier, I borrowed a dollar; I looked at local Salvation Army thrift shop and bought a small plastic film camera. This camera takes four separate exposure a fraction of a second apart,(handy for golfers perfecting their stance). Camera cost me 50 cents-I sold It for $20 by way an online auction, so after paying back the dollar I borrowed, and the auction fee, I now have $16.50 to purchase my next item!

I now have $40 to invest in something that will result in me eventually having $80. No time limit here but the eventual goal is to double to $1M so obviously a bank account won't cut it. It also doesn't have to be in one step - let's say I spend $30 on a book and sell it for $40. I'll then have $50 to invest to make the total of $80. If I buy the book for $30 and sell it for $60, I have to spend the excess on myself (game rules).
So, I'm looking for ideas that could potentially be used to turn $40 into $80.

My take is to forget rules-rules limit creativity - never mind doubling, if you can sell for 5 or 10 times what you paid, you are going to reach your goal sooner! To help, if I had $40 I would look for a second hand guitar $30.00, spend $10 on new strings, then sell for$80 -$120
