I'm thinking of opening an online store and I want to know if anyone has had any experience with specific internet companies selling SSL certificates.
Is there any specific company I should get it through or any company I should avoid? Anyone know the in and outs of SSL certificates? I know there is a possibility of sketchy companies selling things online. I was wondering if anyone on here had any recommendations or not.

GoDaddy SSL Certificates are very reliable and cost effective SSL certificates ever.

I have registered a free domain in hostgator.in, when i try to login my account, I get an error message SSL certificate error.

There are lot of website who sell the SSL Certificate. You can get from Comodo, thawte, RapidSSL and many more.

Apparently in the future, I think all sites needs to have SSL set up. It's just a matter of time.

I suggest you to go with GoDaddy, its no doubt a reliable source for SSL certificate, dont go with any other provider.

Depends which platform you use - but Wix for example gives SSL certificates away for free. You certainly need an SSL as you sell products online -
