Euro accounts  Reply with quote

I don't know if anyone can help me here, but: I am a 20-year-old student who lives on the Isle of Man, but attends Bristol University, so I have no permanent UK address. Next year I will be moving to Germany and have to have euro account before I go. As I have no real income, and nothing huge to deposit, I am having some trouble finding an account.(And I don't know my German address yet) The ones that don't require huge sums to open, require you to be a Uk resident. Does anyone know of a bank that offers a euro account, with no more than £10 a month fees?

Hey, I can help you! I'm from Germany and there are a lot of cheap banks, which offer bank accounts for less than 10? per month! For example there are many regional banks, who are so called Genossenschaftsbanken. You have to buy one "share" (e.g. 50 ? once) of them in order to be allowed to open an account! Afterwards these banks offer you a free Bank-Account (no annual fees), free online banking, one free MasterCard and a free EC-Card. One of these banks is the Sparda-Bank. But unfortunately I don't know if their website is in English, too. www.Sparda-bank.de
