There is a short comparison between Pepsi and Coke
Coca-Cola:
Total Cash from Operations: $10,645 billion
Capex: $2,920 billion
Dividends: $4,595 billion

PepsiCo:
Total Cash from Operations: $8,479 billion
Capex: $2,714 billion
Dividends: $3,305 billion

Even though PepsiCo does generate stronger cash flows from its operations and has a better dividend coverage ratio than Coca-Cola.The dividend payout ratio for Coca-Cola (50.9%), is lower than PepsiCo’s (53.6%), which means that Coca-Cola spends a smaller percentage of its free cash flows on dividends. It can be seen from the above analysis that Coca-Cola is a better dividend stock than Pepsico. With better operating margins (around 22%, compared to 13% for PepsiCo), Coca-Cola should be the obvious choice for an investor seeking a stable dividend stock.
