Ideas to Save Money Fast |

Well, I know you will agree with me if I say that saving money is much easier said than done, there's more to it than spending less money. Do you have ideas to share wherein I can save my money fast?

Setting a budget for yourself and reducing unnecessary expenses is a good first step. Try cutting out some of the nonessentials.
If you can find additional ways to make some money, that can also help with savings.

Well, initially invest some of your money in to stocks, as you get profit from it just get your invested money out of it and save it wherever you want to and keep this cycle going. Try this....

The only way to save is to spend less than you make.
So reduce expenses or increase income.
A combination of both works best.
An old saying:
Use it up,
Wear it out,
Make it do ,
Or go without.

Well, if "there's more to it than spending less money", that would be making more money. Without more info about your circumstances, giving a meaningful answer is not feasible. Is increasing your income in the short term realistic? Can you mention some specific areas where you think saving on expenses is possible? How can we offer suggestions on how to reduce expenses when we have no idea what your usual expenses are? Do you have cable TV, cell phone, insurance, rent or mortgage, credit card debt, etc.?

Saving money, or the saving habit as Napoleon Hill put it so many years ago, is the foundation of all financial success, including investing. Having money saved is what provides the means for you to take advantage of situations, whether it's going back to college, starting a new business, or buying shares of stock when the market crashes.

Well, I would say try the following:
- Get Rid of your Credit Cards: These cards really sucks, after a while it give you the impression of having money that you don't own, and you start getting the feeling it is okay to use it ( since you didn't reach your limit, well it is not okay ).
- Use Cash: Keep a minimum reasonable amount of money on your pocket ( so you can buy yourself cup of coffee or lunch, each time you hold the money and spend it, you will feel how much you are spending on stuff.
- Shop Online is usually cheaper: Sure not shopping at all is better, but if you have to shop, try to buy things online usually it is cheaper.
- Keep track of your expenses: It is always a good practice and good habit. Categorize your expenses, and see where shall you start cutting expenses.

A great way that worked for me was to have some of my pay check go straight into my savings. I am not sure if everyone can do this but the company I work for has a credit union onsite. I have a average of 20% going straight into my savings every 2 weeks.
The classic book of Think And Grow Rich said you should save at least 10%
I think 20% or more is a better number to shoot for.

I cut my spending by getting rid of my smart phone in favor of a pre-paid phone. MUCH cheaper if you aren't glued to your phone.
I got Netflix instead of cable TV.
I bought gym equipment instead of a gym membership.
Downgraded my internet.
I bought energy efficient light bulbs.
All that probably saved me $200 a month?
