$400K is d... good for a 100% disabled person confined to a vet's home. Is your real question what's the difference between what he's got in cash and what he would have had if he had earned some interest on it?

the lawyer said he had about 425k in two banks and he[the lawyer] had not checked into the cd's and bonds yet????

i would imagine there are too many variables to determine an end number

Oh, I see....ya, there's no way to tell. If $425K is only the cash for starters, it's an impressive achievement in accumulation. But I'll bet you're sorry he didn't use more of it on himself to make his life better. Smile

yep it was a pretty sad story.......there were a lot of them like him......he still has 8 brothers and sisters alive in the area.......he was my wife's uncle and she only got to visit him a few times......he actually had enough faculties to get around and he was pretty happy........guess we might learn from people like him!!!
Laughing
we are waiting for word from the Indiana Dept of Revenue or the lawyer.....i suspect that the lawyer will get more than anyone else that;s the sad part.......

thanks

At a time when you seem to see people go green all the time, it's easy to go green literally and environmentally friendly with green shades of Christmas directed.
