Hey everyone,
I have a question about paying off a purchase I made on my BB card. I started Grad school last year and purchased a macbook air laptop for school for $1,500, no interest for 24months. I used it for about 8 months. Recently, my employer me a new macbook laptop, so my other laptop started collecting dust because I barely used it. I did not want to carry two laptops around for evening classes.
I recently sold my Macbook Air for a $1000. I have a remaining balance of $600 on my BB rewards card with 12months remaining of no interest.
Should I pay the amount off in full or continue to just make monthly payments of $150-200 and hold on to the $1000? I personally hate holding debt but with Valentines day coming up I figured I can use the money. My fiancé is living in Florida for the next few months due to work and I'm in NY so travel expense add up—so maybe I can use the 1k to pay off any travel purchases and other cost I would put on my daily credit card and pay it off with no balance.
or should I just pay off the Best Buy card and smack myself in the face for considering to spend the money else where lol...

If you miss one minimum payment you have to pay the interest on the entire balance. Best Buy could say they didn't receive your payment, you could forget to send it or even have a payment lost in the mail. I'm sure that gamble will cost over 20% interest if something happens. I would pay off the credit card and put that debt behind me. Once you get married, everyday will be Valentine's Day. The girl of your dreams should understand. You can let her know on skype.
