Hi all
We have horse acre property, paid in full as of 2 days ago. So far, not to jinx, we have solid paychecks coming in twice a month.
Our neighbor to the west has 1.75 acre property, and apparently is a "preservationist" - it's an Amazon jungle. Completely not attended to. They use very little of it for dwelling and their house is in the far corner away from us in that property. Mof, guy we bought house from, had handshake agreement to buy an acre from them, but the man who owned it died unexpectedly and it fell through.
Owners are some female with 2 teenage kids and a boyfriend or something. Where they live basically looks like a jungle too.
Entire area is booming and sprawling. We are in very rural side of it, but for what I can tell, they are upgrading both townships on either sides of us, freeways, shopping, and so on and so on.
I am NOT interested in rental property.
But we have been thinking about buying that acre from neighbors next. Clearing it and letting it sit. We should be able to offer them cash price in about 8-9 months from today.
I am curious about wisdom of such decision. Once again, I am not into rentals. But we have to do something with money.
What say you? Btw, how do I find land value in the area? Right now, it's grand time to buy, as property values keep falling down and down. Ours included

yes, called docket parcel view. shows owners name, main property features and current value. OK, I'll look into that.
Rather not be judgmental, but judging from general behavior, property appearances and noises coming from there, they are bunch of drunkards. That's why I want to "cash talk" to them.
